Our textile history.
About
For nearly 100 years, Artex has developed and produced textile-based products that stand the test of time. Today, Artex is owned by the investment company Pamica and employs around 450 people across Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Latvia.
-
In 1930, John G Torgner started producing car seat covers in a basement in Linköping, Sweden.
-
When the company outgrew the basement premises, the operation moved to Mjölby.
-
Many women started their sewing careers at an Artex machine.
-
Craftsmanship has always played a central role in Artex's operations.
